Concrete Floor Coating Installer

Job Description: 

Smyrna Floor Coating company looking to hire a concrete floor coating installer.   We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual who prioritizes the safety of themselves and the Company's clients first above all.  The individual must be able to work with an installer crew as a team and provide a high level of customer service at all times. The individual must demonstrate a willingness to learn, be open minded and be teachable,  must show up on time, and be respectful towards fellow employees, clients and company property.  The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team member who enjoys transforming old garage flooring into aesthetically beautiful and durable flooring spaces.  The individual must be able to work in varying garage and weather elements and be willing to learn and course correct at a very fast pace. Training will be provided but we are looking for someone who has some experience with the concrete floor coating industry.   This is a field opportunity where you will be working from our client’s homes.  You will be required to provide your own transportation to and from the Company’s office each day.  You will travel with your team in the Company’s work vehicle to the customers home.  Appearance and communication are the first impressions and we expect all employees to be a professional extension of the company at all times while on the client’s property. 

 

Minimum Job Duties:

  • Loading and unloading of equipment from the trailer

  • Cleaning of job site and equipment set-up mixing areas

  • Organizing product and mix material to precise measurements

  • Grinding, vacuuming, sweeping, joint filling and general clean up

  • Remove existing floor removal if required

  • Grade, pour and finish concrete including forming, joint filling and screeding concrete

  • Prep, grind and polish concrete

  • Apply concrete coatings using the approved process

  • Pressure wash, seal and apply finishing materials to concrete

  • Clean and organize tools

  • Tracking usage when complete

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must work well in a team setting

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more comfortably

  • Must have a valid Drivers License & a clean driving record

  • Must pass a criminal background check

  • Must pass a drug test (including random drug & alcohol testing)

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from Company hub

  • HS Graduate or Equivalent 

  • Ability to communicate clearly

  • Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction

  • Solid listening skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and think independently on the fly

  • Organized and methodical work ethic

  • Ability to work outside and climb ladders

  • Ability to read and understand directions and instructions 

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Company’s warehouse 

 

Job Type: 

  • 1099 Contractor

  • Monday to Friday Schedule

  • Weekend availability with overtime pay (if hours exceed 40) 

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year minimum verifiable concrete floor coatings installation experience

Garage Door Repair Technician

Job Description:

Smyrna Garage Door Repair company looking to hire a garage door repair technician.  We are looking for driven, self-motivated individuals who can work independently and / or with a team and provide a high level of customer service.  Supplemental training will be provided but we are looking for someone who has some experience with the garage door repair industry.  This is a field opportunity where you will be working from our client’s homes.  You will be required to provide your own transportation with the proper outfitting for transporting garage door parts.  You will travel in your work truck to the customers home to understand their issues, diagnose their garage door problems, create a quote and professionally present the repair quote to the customer.  Most repairs can be done during client’s home visits or an appointment can be set to return later if parts need to be secured for the repair.  Technicians are required to manage their trucks, the inventory assigned as well as their schedule and client communications.   All trucks will be outfitted with all the required inventory and will be the sole responsibility of the technician to maintain inventory accuracy.  Truck inventory is completed weekly for true ups and re ups.   The ideal candidate will prioritize the safety of themselves and the Company's clients first above all.  The individual must demonstrate a willingness to learn, be open minded and be teachable,  must show up on time, and be respectful towards fellow employees, clients and company property.  The individual must be able to work in varying garage and weather elements and be willing to learn and course correct at a very fast pace.  Appearance and communication are the first impressions and we expect all employees to be a professional extension of the company at all times while on the client’s property.

  • Travel to the customers home to diagnose their garage door issue, build and present a repair quote, and either repair during that visit or return later and replace the door

  • Technicians must manage the truck, its inventory as well as their schedule and client communications

  • Install or repair garage doors and openers and associated components

  • Responsible for safe driving of company vehicles when applicable

  • Responsible for safe work site, equipment, and truck

  • Assists in customer service issues

  • Reviews work orders & payment for accuracy and completeness before departing to job site

  • Other duties as assigned
